full time courses

We accept students according to the following prerequisites:

Basic computer skills
Students should be able to turn on, save and manage files & folders, and shut down a P.C. If a student does not have these basic skills, they must first undergo training in these areas to be eligible for our courses. Training in Apple Macintosh basics is provided by us. Students will be taught such skills as networking.

Completed evaluation form
This form takes the student through questions from computer literacy, general knowledge of art & design fields, to questions about themselves. There are no real right and wrong answers to many of the questions, but it does allow us to get a better understanding of personality and awareness. Download the evaluation form here.

Portfolio
Students who have done art may present their existing work. Those that do not have work to show must complete a simple portfolio of drawings and designs allowing us to ascertain how visually orientated they are. It is not about great drawing skill, but the ability to see and put effort into a job.

Interview
The student will be interviewed by one or more members of staff.

Qualifications
Students are expected to have passed Matric or the equivalent. If they have not, special circumstances may exist making the student eligible. Students should ideally have Art & Design skill. Mathematics & Language skills are an advantage.

Students are taught in English only, and should be fluent in this language.

Successful or unsuccessful, applicants will be notified as soon as possible of their situation.

Once accepted, students need to pay a deposit to secure their place. This amount is non-refundable should the student change their mind.

Payment of fees has various options, and can be discussed with our Course Advisor.

If we find the student to not be coping with the course, we may suggest they leave and refund a portion of their year's fees.
